Upcoming Events...
Final Band Events for the 22-23 school year
Thursday, June 1st – 6th, 7th and 8th Combined Marching Rehearsal. Please report to your Trojan Time at the beginning of the day. You will then be dismissed to come to the Band Room over the intercom.
Friday, June 2nd – Kids in Curwood Parade. The 6th 7th and 8th grade band students will perform COMBINED TOGETHER in the Friday Night “Kids In Curwood Parade”.
Percussion & Sousaphone Pickup at OMS : 5:45-6:15 PM
Report Time: 6:30 PM
Report Location: Emerson School the corner of Dewey St. and King St.
What do we wear? Your band t-shirt (coming home soon) and black or blue shorts (School appropriate), tennis shoes and socks.
What time should my family come to watch? The parade steps off at 7:00 PM (We are #4).
Will I be able to be in the parade with my club, dance team, youth group...etc?The band is one of the first events in the parade so students are welcome to go back after they are done with the band performance and re-join the parade with their team/club/group if they wish.
ALL SCHOOL OWNED INSTRUMENTS MUST be returned to OMS following the parade. Mr. Tolrud will have the OMS Band Room open following the parade until 9:00 PM to drop off your instrument. Please be sure to make arrangements to get your horn to OMS before 9:00 PM (decide now so that you are prepared for Friday night).
The parade will start at the corner of Dewey and Oliver streets and end at the corner of Ball and Williams St. The parade route will start at the corner of Dewey and Oliver, the route then follows Oliver to Washington, down Washington to Exchange, Exchange to Ball St. up Ball to Williams Streets dispersing in the First Congregational Church parking lot.
Thank you for all of your support and hard work! You have done an OUTSTANDING job throughout this year!! I hope you have an enjoyable and relaxing summer! I am already looking forward to a great 2023-2024 school year!!!
